An essential question facing Christians today is determinative of our ability to walk in the fullness of an overcoming and victorious life. Every Christian should seriously consider what you do with the name of Jesus. In John 14: 13,14, we read a saying of Jesus, ” And whatsoever you ask in my name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in my name, I will do it”. What we do with the name of Jesus is foundational to the appropriation of our rights and privileges in Christ.
Often believers rely upon others to obtain what they should have appropriated for themselves. We should understand that we don’t have to call for the elders or anyone else; all we have to do is ask in the Name. The better translation of that word “ask” would be “demand”. Demand that Satan get out of your house, demand that he leave your body and take his sickness that he brought to you. Mark 16:17, asserts, “In my Name shall they cast out demons”. You became a master of demons as the result of you and Jesus conquering Satan when you were raised up together with Him in His resurrection.
Surely now, you must see that you have a perfect deliverance and a perfect healing from disease. Your confession ought to be aligned with that of Jesus, ” The prince of this world is coming, and he has nothing in me” (John 14:30). If you are in Christ made a new creation, he has nothing in you. Now you have a new spirit; the old spirit of bondage, of fear, lack, and disease is gone. You can stand fearlessly before Satan and the world proclaiming that Name that is above every name, confident that what you do with that Name will cause every knee to bow.
