No person can stand before God without a sense of guilt and inferiority until having been freed from the dominion of Satan, humanity”s adversary. However, the Eternal Spirit speaks now of the righteousness of God that has come to light in humanity through faith in Jesus Christ. Righteousness comes to all who acknowledge Christ as Lord and Savior. They become justified or made righteous freely on the ground of grace through the redemption that God effected in Christ. This means that God laid our sins and diseases upon Jesus who knew no sin. Considering what God has done in Christ gives us reason to realize the reality of righteousness.
“For He has made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
