Redemption for humanity has always been in the heart and view of God. Redemption is God orchestrated; it rejoices the heart of God, and meets every need of the human soul. Our confession of Christ as Lord brings us into union with God; in this union we attain good success, and obtain access to the mightiest forces of the universe.
Redemption calls God’s ability to our disposal; it has become our inheritance. Acts 1:8, states, “But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” No longer are we dependent on our abilities, but God’s ability is working on our behalf. It is His ability that makes us strong, causes us to win, helps us to love, and enables us to meet every need of the human soul.
In the first Epistle Of John, we see, “you are of God little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1:4). We are of God, which means God’s power is ours. Just as roots draw moisture from the soil, our spiritual roots extract strength, eternal life, and Divine ability from God. In this redemption, we have become a part of God with the privilege of using the name of Jesus. And when we use that name, bring it into contact with the problems of humanity, that name will meet every need of the human soul.
