Christians carrying bottles can merely continue crying for the promises of God’s word. Untold numbers of believers are still to be convinced that only meat, not milk, can perfect you in God’s word.
Countless church members fail to go to perfection simply because it appears more comfortable to indulge the dullness of their minds. Many have been members for years, yet, they have not advanced in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the privileges provided as a result of His substitutionary death.
Instead of waiting in front of God’s word, they are waiting in front of the pew or the TV set for someone to teach them some new thing. Stop taking these baby steps, pull up to the table and get full of the meat of God’s word which will empower to become the fruit bearing discipler God intended you to be.
The author of our salvation was made perfect through the restitution he made for us. Piercing through the curtain in the holiest of the heavens, He laid His blood of justification on the mercy seat for our complete redemption. His entry there also gives access to all who are in Him.
Therefore, we no longer need resort to milk, fussing about condemnation and right and wrong. Hebrews 6:1, exhorts, “…let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God”. Time out for recess, its time for dinner. Feast on the meat of God’s word and press for perfection in Christ.
