The Bondage Of Disease Breaks The Fellowship Of Heaven

During my stint with the military, we were subjected, at times, to a command position called “ten-hut” (attention). Whereas you were relaxed and moving in easy assurance of favor and fellowship, that ten-hut command drew you to a tense and rigid reckoning which broke the fellowship of your mental calmness. In somewhat similar manner, the bondage of disease breaks the fellowship of heaven.

Disease makes slave of people who are sick and the ones who care for the sick. Their bondage is apparent night and day, as they strain for medicinal and therapeutic remedies, and incessantly work to provide care for themselves and others. Disease robs them of health, money and joy.

The will of heaven and of our Father is that you be well; disease is out of fellowship with heaven because it is the work of Satan. Never let anyone tell you that disease is the will of God; our God’s will is love. The will of the devil is hatred, and he deceptively sends forth that hatred in sickness and disease.

Throughout Jesus’ earthly ministry, He was combatting Satan by healing all who came to Him, both Jews and Gentiles. Acts 10:38, states, he “…went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him”. He was doing the will of the Father.

Healing, as Isaiah 53, reminds us, is included in the plan of redemption. Just as Jesus died to free us from the bondage of sin, he also died to free us from the bondage of disease. After Jesus justified us, He sat us in “heavenly places” where we find no condemnation of sin or disease. Therefore, as heavenly soldiers, listen and receive God’s counter command, “at ease”, and let not sin or sickness reign in your mortal bodies.
