When persons are connected to families by means other than by birth, sometimes there is a tendency to hold them apart from full family connection. People entering families through marriage or adoption may themselves feel they are not fully accepted. However, those who confess Jesus as lord and Savior must know that your faith fully connects you to the family of God.
Every believer has been delivered out of Satan’s authority and translated into the family of God, fully connected to the redemption which is in Christ. Colossians 1:13-14, states, ” He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins”. The authority of your old family connection with Satan has been broken; and now you are moved into the family of love.
Christ Jesus has taken Satan’s place; and you have been made a new creation in Him. Satan no longer has dominion over you; since he has been totally defeated according to Colossians 2:15, you have no need to fear him. As a New Creation person, you are made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (1 Corinthians 1:30, Romans 3:26). Romans 8:38, declares, “nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors”.
According to 2 Corinthians 5:17-18, in Christ, you are a New creation; and the old things of sin, sickness, defeat, weakness, failure, and spiritual death have passed away. You are now fully connected to the family of God through the blood of Christ. Consequently, Christ has given you the ministry of reconciliation, that is, the authority to bring others out of the darkness into ‘His marvelous light.
Colossians 2:15, assures that you are complete in Christ, fully connected to the head of all authority. The Son has made freedom a reality in your life. You may stand confident as a fully connected member of the family of God, having authority to use the Name of Jesus to receive deliverance, break the power of the adversary over your finances, your home, and the bodies of your loved ones. Your faith in Christ fully connects you to the family of God.
