Christian believers will encounter many difficulties in this life and may experience fears and doubts because of them. Questions may arise concerning their ability to endure hardships and challenges; prompting them to ask where is Jesus today.
In all sincerity, the church must make a more concerted effort to help it’s individual members engraft and employ the answer to this question in their everyday affairs. Knowing where Jesus is provides confidence notwithstanding attacks of the adversary, and the adversities of life.
Jesus died as the Lamb, however, He arose as the Lord High Priest seated at the right hand of the Father. According to Hebrews 2:17, He is a “merciful and faithful high priest”, having made substitution for the sins of the people.
Not only that, Christ Jesus, I John 2:1, informs us, pleads for us before the Father when we loose fellowship due to acts of sin. Paul assures, Romans 8:34, Jesus is at the right hand of the Father making intercession for us.
Therefore, in those moments when you experience uncertainty and anxiety because of sickness, stress or the sorrows of this world, know that Jesus our faithful high priest is at the throne for you. And He has raised you up to sit with Him; and He will be in you.
