The Power Of Praying Through

There is a wonderful example in Daniel 10, of remaining steadfast in our petitions to God, employing His word until the desired result is accomplished. Believers can continue to be confident in receiving answer to prayer when we realize the power of praying through.

Praying through entails perseverance undeterred by opposition or trials of life. Ephesians 6:18, exhorts, “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints”.

There may come times, when in prayer, you find yourself distracted; or you may be contending with a spirit of heaviness. Know that this is simply the enemy attempting to prevent your prayers; he does not want you to possess what is rightfully yours in prayer.

In times like these, my brothers and sisters, stay on your knees, keep God’s word on your lips, and allow the grace of God to strengthen you. Although a spirit of depression may try to discourage you from praying through, stay there anyhow; and you will eventually experience a lifting, and an overcoming power to help you.

Praying through imparts power for the ongoing journey of life. Once you have discovered for yourself that in waiting on the Lord, he renews your strength; you will begin to rest assured of His power to grant succeeding victories over all the troubles in your life.
