The Law Which Governs The Church Today

Under the Old Covenant Jews were commanded to abide by the strict letter of the Mosaic law, especially the Ten Commandments. That old law was put in place as a guide for humanity to reflect on it’s need for God. The old law points out the sinful nature; however, there is the new law which governs the church today.

This new law which governs the church today displaced the Ten Commandments, and it is preeminent above every human law. This new law is the law of Love. A Christian believer abiding in love is abiding in God; for “God is love”.

Jesus said in John 13:34-35, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another”. Any person living by this Jesus love will never break the law that was given to contain sin.

As long as you walk in love, Satan has no dominion over you, and your faith cannot be weakened by the adversary’s accusations. Living the love life means that you are no longer negative nor neutral; but, you are a positive blessing in the world, empowered to take hold on all the promises of God.
