There is a sweet aroma permeating your confession of faith in God’s word which etches its essence in the salvation or loss of humanity. As a Christian believer, you stand solidly on God’s word, and are not moved by the knowledge of the senses. Such a confident confession sends out an alluring perfume which captivates or repels the unsaved.
Paul’s writing from 2 Corinthians 2:14-15, should encourage you as to the essential nature of your faith confession. “But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. 15 For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing”.
The aromatic essence of your confession in Christ is diffused throughout the realm of your social reach through your confident expression of trust in God’s word. Your confidence is not in the prayers of others, but in your own refusal to allow your mouth to destroy the reality of the word. Hold fast to your confession of the word, in it you have the full assurance of your victory over all the wiles of the enemy.
